Personalized Guidance for Every Stage of Feeding
You are learning your baby. Your baby is learning you. Feeding is a relationship—and you do not have to figure it all out alone.
Miri provides personalized lactation support designed to help mothers understand their bodies, understand their babies, and feel more confident making feeding decisions.
Whether you are preparing to breastfeed during pregnancy, working through early feeding challenges, pumping, building or maintaining milk supply, returning to work, or simply wondering whether things are going the way they should, you deserve clear information and practical support.
Build knowledge. Build confidence. Find a feeding rhythm that works for you and your baby.
Lactation Support That Builds Your Confidence
There is no single perfect breastfeeding story.
Some families breastfeed directly. Some pump. Some combine feeding methods. Some need help getting started, while others need support weeks or months into their feeding journey.
The goal of lactation care is not to pressure you into perfection. It is to give you thoughtful support, practical tools, and a clearer understanding of what is happening so you can make informed decisions for yourself and your baby.
Together, we can work on the questions that matter most to you—from positioning and latch to pumping routines, milk production, prenatal preparation, and navigating changes as your baby grows.
You are not expected to know everything from day one. Confidence grows with information, practice, and the right support.
Meet Your Lactation Consultant
Miri Katzman provides individualized lactation support for families in Brooklyn, New York and virtually.
Her approach centers on one principle: support the mother, not just the feeding problem.
A lactation visit is an opportunity to slow things down, look at the full picture, answer your questions, and help you understand your options. Rather than leaving with a long list of instructions, the goal is for you to leave with a plan that feels understandable, realistic, and manageable.
Miri supports families through pregnancy, the newborn period, pumping, changes in milk production, transitions back to work, and other stages of the breastfeeding and lactation journey.
Credentials: International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

Virtual Prenatal Lactation Education Class — A group class covering the foundations of breastfeeding and what to expect in the early days with your baby.
Virtual Prenatal Education Bundle — A more personalized option that includes the group prenatal class, a 30-minute individual prenatal consultation with Miri, and a 30-minute postpartum check-in after your baby arrives.
Lactation Consult
Lactation support is available in the comfort of your home or virtually, giving you the flexibility to choose the type of care that works best for your family. In-Home Lactation Visits — Initial and follow-up visits in the comfort of your home, with hands-on, personalized support for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and other feeding concerns.
Virtual Lactation Visits — Initial and follow-up visits from the convenience of home, offering personalized guidance, troubleshooting, and support as your feeding journey evolves.
Breastfeeding Is Learned—Confidence Can Be Built
Many mothers expect breastfeeding to feel instinctive immediately.
Sometimes it does. Sometimes it takes practice, adjustment, patience, and support.
Needing guidance does not mean you are doing something wrong. Lactation is a learning process involving two people who are getting to know one another.
You deserve support that helps you understand why something is happening—not simply instructions about what to do next.
Our work together is designed to help you become increasingly confident reading your baby's cues, understanding feeding patterns, using your pump effectively when needed, and making decisions that fit your family's circumstances.
The goal is not dependence on a lactation consultant. The goal is greater confidence in yourself.
Your Feeding Goals Matter
Lactation care should start with listening.
What were you hoping feeding would look like?
What feels hardest right now?
What would make tomorrow feel easier than today?
Your goals, values, schedule, physical comfort, mental load, family circumstances, and baby's needs all matter when creating a realistic feeding plan.
There is no prize for making feeding harder than it needs to be.
Our work together focuses on finding practical strategies that support your goals while preserving something equally important: your confidence as a mother.

Motherhood brings an enormous amount of information—and an equally enormous amount of advice.
